General Description

The Web Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting in creating, refining, evaluating, developing, implementing and optimizing marketing initiatives, particularly on the NOVA website. The Specialist will work closely with marketing peers, the Web Services team and internal stakeholders to continuously analyze and optimize content and applications geared toward prospective students.
Duties And Tasks
- Responsible for creating, reviewing, implementing, developing and promoting marketing content independently.
- Supports achievement of annual enrollment goals.
- Partners with internal teams and external partners to deliver objectives.
- Manages and monitors software (ex. EAB Virtual Tour) to its fullest potential by optimizing current efforts, resolving technical issues, and leading strategy on the platform’s usage.
- Works alongside the team to maintain brand guidelines across the college
- Writes, edits and evaluates existing text on the NOVA website to ensure the student perspective is captured
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Minimum Work Experience
- Experience working with segmenting audiences (ex. prospective students, current students, adult learners, etc.) and developing messaging to specific populations.
- Experience applying brand pillars, elements, and visuals to a variety of materials and communications.
- Experience using platforms, tools, applications and/or software to develop strategies to accomplish a goal (CMS, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Project management experience
- Experience in marketing, communications, web marketing, or relatable field.
Additional Considerations
- Experience in higher education, especially admissions and enrollment.
- Experience with Salesforce/Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other customer relationship management (CRM)
- Experience working within content management systems (CMS)
- Experience with Qualtrics
