Responsibillities
Customer Engagement & Sales:

  • Welcome customers professionally at all times (day and night shifts).
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable wines, spirits, beers, and mixers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products (e.g., mixers, ice, snacks, gift packs).
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback courteously.

Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations:

  • Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Handle cash, POS, transfers, and e-payments with zero discrepancies.
  • Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation of sales.
  • Carry out shift opening and closing cash reconciliation.

Product Knowledge & Merchandising:

  • Maintain strong knowledge of product ranges, promotions, and pricing.
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, neatly arranged, and price-tagged.
  • Monitor fast-moving and low-stock items and report promptly.
  • Support visibility of premium brands and promotional displays.

Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Receive, count, and verify stock deliveries accurately.
  • Prevent stock losses through careful handling and monitoring.
  • Track damaged, expired, or returned products.
  • Participate in routine stock counts and handover checks.

Compliance & Responsible Sales:

  • Enforce legal age restrictions and refuse sales to underage customers.
  • Promote responsible alcohol consumption.
  • Adhere to company policies and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism during late-night or high-risk periods.

Security & Store Safety:

  • Remain alert to suspicious activities, especially during night shifts.
  • Follow store security procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate with security personnel where applicable.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and safety at all times.

Shift Handover & Reporting:

  • Complete detailed shift handover notes (sales, issues, stock, incidents).
  • Report operational challenges, customer issues, or security concerns.
  • Support smooth transition between shifts to maintain 24-hour continuity.

Customer Loyalty & Experience:

  • Build repeat patronage through friendly and efficient service.
  • Encourage customer loyalty programs, promos, or repeat purchases.
  • Handle VIP or regular customers with discretion and consistency.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic numeracy and POS handling

  • Integrity, vigilance, and reliability
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and nights.
